In April, 2013, Scholarship America kicked off a partnership with Fastweb, the leading website for scholarship and financial aid information owned by Monster Worldwide, Inc., parent company of Monster.com.

Students have the opportunity to opt in to receive information from these partners; Scholarship America will not share student data with anyone without the student’s knowledge. The opt-in language is as follows:

By opting in to the cross-match service provided by Scholarship America, you will be notified of scholarship and college opportunities for which your profile indicates you may be qualified for. If you consent to use this service, we will share the personal information you provide with the providers of these opportunities, including companies not affiliated with us (i.e. third party companies). This information will be used to determine your eligibility for certain opportunities, and these third party companies may also send communications to you.

Companies with whom we might share your personal information may include consumer products, telecom, financial, military, market research, entertainment, and educational services companies and their third party service providers. If you consent to receiving communications from non-affiliated companies, you may need to communicate with them directly if you later decide that you no longer wish to receive their communications or if you wish to change any data you provided online. In this instance, any changes or amendments to your personal information must be given directly to each company that communicates with you as these changes, amendments and/or deletions will not be exchanged between us and non-affiliated companies.

All personal information that will be shared (which may include name and address, age and family finances or income level) is provided voluntarily by you on this site. If you opt in initially and wish to opt out at any time, contact us at support@scholarshipamerica.org. Upon receiving such an opt out request, we will cease sharing your information with third parties and you will no longer be able to access and use all of the services provided by us. However, as noted above, you will need to communicate directly with any third party that received your information prior to making an opt out request if you no longer wish to receive communications from such third parties.
